ARRL Maryland-DC Section-Wide 2026 Simulated Emergency Test (S.E.T.)
Complete Your FEMA ICS-205A Communications List
The ARRL Maryland-DC (MDC) Section is conducting a Section-Wide Simulated Emergency Test (S.E.T.) and is asking all participating amateur radio operators to complete a local FEMA ICS-205A Communications List.
Beginning Saturday, October 3, 2026, please spend the following seven days monitoring the VHF/UHF and 6-meter repeaters that are reachable from your QTH.
Use available online resources, such as The Repeater Book and other Internet repeater directories, to identify repeaters that you can reasonably access from your location.
What We Are Asking You To Do
- Identify the VHF, UHF, and 6-meter repeaters reachable from your QTH.
- Record the repeater information on a FEMA ICS-205A / Incident Radio Communications Plan.
- Include your:
- First Name
- Amateur Radio Callsign
- 6-character Maidenhead Grid Square
- Identify the document as 2026 S.E.T. ICS-205 in the email subject line.
- Save your completed file using the following format:
CALLSIGN-GRID SQUARE-2026SET.pdf
Example: KB3MXM-FM19OK-2026SET.pdf
Submission Deadline
Please complete and submit your ICS-205A no later than Sunday, October 18, 2026.

Marty will collect the completed ICS-205A forms and use the information to develop a Maryland-DC Section-wide Communications List. The resulting information will also provide a useful communications resource for Maryland county Emergency Coordinators (ECs) and ARES organizations.
